• Essential fit for purpose amenities : Your contributions will help provide a facility with ample parking with good disabled access and equip the market with electric vehicle charging points, two accessible toilets and internal lighting and power, as well as power for the external market square – giving us a market that caters to everyone’s needs.
• Versatile event space : The electrification of the external market square is a key step towards hosting a variety of events. This enhancement means we can host an expanded market outside, host cultural festivals and street food events, as well as seasonal evens such as Christmas Markets.
• Championing sustainability: We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint. Our market helps connect local producers with customers, keeping food miles low. Our plans for solar panels atop the market and electric vehicle charging points will see the building generate its own power and sell the surplus back into the green and helps underscore our dedication to a greener future.

• It will count towards match funding which will enable us to apply for £1m from the Government’s Community Ownership Fund to buy the market
• It will be used to pay professional fees and set up costs for buying the market
• It will be used towards equipping the market with:
  • Glass side enclosures
  • Market operators office
  • Two accessible toilets
  • Internal lighting and power
  • External power for stalls
  • Solar panels for the roof
  • Electric vehicle charging points
  • Providing equipment essential for running the market
